NEW TO CITY CHURCH
Whether City Church is the first church you've ever been to...
or you've been around church before, we know that you may have lots of questions and you may even be nervous of walking through the doors.
We've tried to answer some of your questions below, but if you still have more, why not email them to us using the form provided.
What happens on a Sunday?
We love gathering together on a Sunday. People are always on hand to welcome you.
Firstly, musicians lead us in singing worship songs then a speaker will give a relevant, Bible-based talk.
Sunday mornings at City Church, the children have CC KIDS whilst the adults listen to the talk.
The service lasts about an hour and a half. We serve tea and coffee before and after the meeting, so there is plenty of opportunity to chat to others.
Everyone is welcome. Come as you are - we’d love to get to know you!
WILL I FIT IN?
City Church is a thriving church community made up of people from many cultural backgrounds and ages.
Whatever your background, culture or age, our aim is to make you welcome.
Can I explore Christianity first?
Exploring is good. We’re built for it. Explore more about life, faith and meaning with Alpha.
What if I'm not ready to come to church yet?
City Church offer a number of activities throughout the week, which will give you the opportunity to meet people, make friends, get to know some of the people who go to church, before you walk through the door.
Ask City Church
What kind of church is City Church?
City Church is passionate about our area, passionate about people and most of all passionate about God; our desire is to see North East Lincolnshire transformed by God’s power.
We are a family of believers, who celebrate God through vibrant worship, who love the Word of God, who believe in the power of the Holy Spirit.
City Church is a member of the Evangelical Alliance and is part of the Groundlevel network of churches; many from the church are involved in serving at the annual 'One Event', held on the Lincolnshire show-ground over the August bank holiday weekend.
With the empowering of God’s Holy Spirit we endeavour to be people of worship, prayer and biblical understanding who are fully mobilised, serving in social action, evangelism and World Mission from a foundation of strong relationships.
