CARE
In partnership with other local churches we have the privilege of working through CARE, (Christian Action, Resource Enterprise) a separate charity, which was set up in 1992.
CARE is dedicated to relieving poverty, hardship and distress to those sectors of the local community that are unable to access help and aid through the usual channels. CARE is passionate about bringing dignity and compassion into the lives of those who for some reason find themselves at a point of need.
We have a number from the church serving as Directors or working for CARE through its various arms into the community: CARE shop, CARE rent scheme, Food Larder, CARE property, & CARE parenting.
DAILY BREAD FOOD LARDER
City Church is actively involved with the Daily Bread Food Larder which helps those who experience emergency, temporary financial need.
The scheme is operated by Churches Together in NE Lincolnshire and Christian Action Resource Enterprise (CARE) working in partnership to provide short term relief of food poverty in the area.
